1. Definitions

• "Ching Sum", "we", "us", "our" — refers to Ching Sum, the senior lifestyle residence at 31 Discovery Bay Road, Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
• "Resident" — a person who has entered into a service arrangement with Ching Sum.
• "User" — any person accessing or using this website.
• "Service Arrangement" — the written agreement entered into between Ching Sum and a resident or their authorised representative.
• "Content" — all text, images and materials published on this website.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or engaging Ching Sum's services, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using this website on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Our Services

Ching Sum provides non-medical senior lifestyle services including Daily Living Support, Excursions and Day Outings, and Complete Residence Living. A description of each service is available at our Solutions page.

We do not provide medical, nursing or clinical care. Residents requiring medical attention are responsible for engaging their own healthcare providers.

Services are available to residents living in or moving to Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Geographic availability may change and will be communicated in advance if so.

4. Service Arrangements

Before receiving services, a resident or their authorised representative must enter into a written Service Arrangement. The Service Arrangement sets out the specific services to be provided, the applicable monthly rate, and any additional agreed terms.

No services will commence until a Service Arrangement has been signed by both parties.

5. Payment Terms

Monthly service fees are payable in advance on the first day of each calendar month in Hong Kong dollars (HKD). Current rates are:

• Daily Living Support: HK$1,150 per month
• Excursions and Day Outings: HK$2,380 per month
• Complete Residence Living: HK$3,840 per month

Rates may be revised with a minimum of 30 days' written notice. Payment methods accepted are set out in the Service Arrangement. Late payment may result in suspension of services.

6. Changes and Cancellation

A resident or their representative may change or cancel their service arrangement by providing 30 days' written notice. Changes take effect at the start of the following billing month unless otherwise agreed.

Ching Sum may terminate a Service Arrangement with 30 days' written notice if the resident's needs exceed what our non-medical services can reasonably accommodate, or in cases of serious or repeated breach of these terms.

7. Resident Responsibilities

Residents and their representatives agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information relevant to the delivery of services
• Treat Ching Sum staff with respect
• Notify us of any significant change in health or circumstances that may affect the service arrangement
• Not engage Ching Sum staff in activities outside the agreed service scope without prior written agreement

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, design and layout — is owned by or licensed to Ching Sum. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute or adapt this content without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The information on this website is provided for general information only. Ching Sum makes no representation that services will be suitable for every individual's circumstances. Nothing on this website constitutes medical, legal or financial advice.

Website content is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee it will be free of errors or always available.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law, Ching Sum's liability to any user or resident shall not exceed the total fees paid in the month in which the relevant event occurred. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or economic losses arising from use of this website or our services.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ching Sum and its staff from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your use of this website in a way that causes harm to a third party.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution first by contacting us at [email protected]. If informal resolution is not reached within 30 days, disputes may be referred to the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These terms, together with any Service Arrangement, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under a Service Arrangement without our written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
